The Good

The Good

Pre-registered vehicles become available and are put at discount prices because the dealer and the manufacturer have agreed to take the hit on the vehicles depreciation in order to ‘move metal’, avoid stockpiling and hit monthly quotas. They essentially buy the car for themselves to keep their numbers good when a car might not necessarily be doing too well, this can obviously be beneficial to both the dealer and the manufacturer (as any car which would struggle to sell naturally will no longer appear to be a complete flop, as according to the numbers they are selling). It is beneficial to the dealers as the manufacturers subsidise the lost cash and it keeps the manufacturers happy. Remember that a pre-registered Peugeot 4007 is actually a used Peugeot 4007 techinically.

On the back of this tweaking done by the manufacturers and dealers you will benefit from huge discounts, often in excess of 30% to compensate for the fact that you will be the second registered owner and for the fact that they want to get rid. Pre-registered cars are definitely a good option and is usually a perfectly good way to buy a car, even though you are registered as the second owner you should be able to sell the car for a reasonable price after showing the 3rd buyer you documents which show that even though you are the second owner, you bought the car when it was pretty much brand new.
