Big Booty Bargains

Big Booty Bargains you say?

What we actually mean with this rather unfamiliar term is pre-registered estate vehicles – big booty in reference to the sizeable boots that they usually offer. Estate cars are becoming more and more popular each year in the UK as families look for versatile motors to cater for the varying needs of modern life.

Because of their growing popularity they are now much more regularly available as pre-registered cars, which means you can save pretty decent money on the one you are after in most cases.

But what are the best estates currently on the market? Well we are going to run through some of them now and tell you why they represent good deals for pre-registered buyers.

Skoda Superb

10 years ago the average person off the street probably wouldn’t have heard of Skoda or at least wouldn’t be able to tell you the names of any models in the current range. That couldn’t be further from the truth today, and Skoda is growing year on year as a brand. The Superb estate fits its name – it really is superb in a number of areas, not least in terms of the amount of space on offer and the quality of the available engines. Used Skoda Superb models are very popular and as a result dealers are always prepared to offer favourable discounts on pre-registered versions.

Audi A6

On the more premium side of the market, the Audi A6 Avant has been receiving widespread critical acclaim since the moment it was introduced. Aside from the excellent range of engines it is offered with, the Avant delivers unrivalled performance whether you are making short journeys through the city or cruising at 70mph down the motorway. The cabin stays peacefully quiet at all speeds while the suspension does an excellent job of reducing the effect of even the largest road imperfections. The A6 tends to sell more in the summer so look for a pre-registered model towards the end of the year.

Kia Cee’d Sportswagon

Similarly in the way that Skoda has stormed the market over the past decade, the popularity of Kia vehicles has risen rather dramatically over the same period. They are well known – and rightly so – for the outstanding warranty offered (7 years or 100,000 miles). The Cee’d Sportswagon competes well with rivals in all departments however, and dealers often have a few models left over which allows for some decent pre-reg bargains.
